Essex Book Festival 2014

Another hugely successful event at Thurrock Thameside Nature Park for the Essex Book Festival.  Unlike last year however, it wasn't organised by yours truly, with my involvement this time as interviewer for the featured author.  That author was Tristan Gooley and the book in question was his "How To Connect With Nature".  The main thrust of his 'connecting with nature' is through natural navigation, using the signals in the world arounds us - weather, sun, stars, plants and animals - to orientate ourselves, rather than the map and compass.  It is a fascinating subject area that made for a fascinating evening.
