Having worked for many years in environmental education and more recently as coordinator of The Volharding Project - a charitable sailing project, I currently work in the classroom at a special needs school.
I have enjoyed a long standing interest in the natural world, spanning
over thirty years, which has allowed me to develop a substantial
knowledge of British Wildlife. During this time I have worked for many
years, voluntarily and professionally, in the environmental /
conservation field, also gaining an honours degree in Rural
Environmental Management.
Writing about nature has emerged as an effective and positive way for me
to express and share this great passion that I have. Since 2002 I have
variously contributed newspaper, magazine and online articles, and have
written several books.
